Two Weeks!!

Today is TWO WEEKS EXACTLY until Chris and I make the big move to the BIG EASY!!
Whoop Whoop!!
I woke up this morning singing, “Two weeks Two weeks!!!” over and over again in the absolute most obnoxious tones and melodies that I could think of the drive Chris nuts. Instead of telling me to shut up he just sang right along with me!
The next two weeks are gonna be busy, that’s for sure! Making sure bills, cell phone, cars, address changes, boxes, packing, and ETC. are all done is going to be a handful.
We are both sooo excited and can not WAIT to get down there. If we could leave today, we would be on our way in a heart beat!

Tomorrow our families are having a Going Away Party for us. We will say good-by to Family and Friends. It’s not like we are dying or anything people, we only be moving 3 states away! (haha)
We are so blessed by such a huge village of people standing behind us in everything we do. Seriously, we could call any one of them on the cell phone day or night and they would stop what they were doing and come to help in any way.
I have been working on our “Family” tab for the blog and it is taking me forever to get it just right. I want to say something about everyone and make sure that I don’t leave anyone out.
It has defiantly taken a whole big, bunch, of crazy people to get us to this point, but now we are going to New Orleans and we are ready to have new and exciting adventures for our futures!

A Georgia Peach at Heart

Today marks exactly one month until Chris and I move to New Orleans!! We are both so excited! I admit I had my doubts at first, but as time had passed I have gotten more and more excited!! I keep teasing Chris telling him he is going to be the one crying when we leave a not me! (for those of you who don't know, Chris is a big cry baby!! He is gonna get me back for putting that on here for sure!!)

I may be a Louisiana girl in person, but will always be a Georgia Peach at heart!!

New Orleans!!

For Spring Break Chris and I decided that it was about time for us to make a trip down to the place we will be calling home for the next two years. We packed our bags and loaded up in the car, New Orleans bound! Let me just say, driving to New Orleans is one of the most boring drives ever! Mostly two lane roads and trees to look at.

I absolutely fell in love with the campus! It was gorgeous, charming, and small-towny feeling where everyone knows everyone. Of course the city of New Orleans was also what I expected with little shanty buildings and people everywhere drinking and partying.

While on our tour we got to look at the actual apartment we will be living in! It was pretty cool to be standing in the room thinking, WOW in less than two months I will be living in this very place! Our tour guide was such a sweet lady and she gave me a big hug when it was time to say good by.

It was a long drive back home, I was full on cajun food (red beans and rice), and so excited about moving and starting a new adventure!!
