For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
Jeremiah 29:11
Well, it is kind of hard to put into words, what exactly our mission is, because right now we are so open that we don’t really know where we are going to end up. Chris told his preacher calling in November 2009 and from that moment on our lives have changed.
When some people begin to list the best day of their lives they usually start out with listing, their wedding day, day the kids were born, or day they learned that their cancer was in remission, and etc. I can honestly say, that so far in our lives, the day Chris gave his preacher calling was probably the best day of us. That day marked the beginning of our futures of truly following the Lord. It is the day that lead to our wedding day and that will lead (in the near distant future) the day are children are born. Knowing that we are putting all of our faith in the Lord is what has and is going to lead us to the best times of our lives.
Our mission, and yes I say our, is to follow the plans set before us. Yes, Chris is the preacher here, but behind every great man is a great woman, and I plan on standing right beside him all the way!
Currently, our plans are for Chris to get the best education available. After much prayer he has decided that the Lord is sending him to Seminary in New Orleans. I know that this school is going to help prepare him for our future.
Many people ask, after Seminary where are y’all going to end up? Right now we tell people that our plan is to go to school for three years and then come back to Georgia, but in reality, we do not know. We can only take things one step at a time, and follow what the Lord has in store. Who knows, one day Chris could be a preacher in a big church, or the Lord might send him to some little church out in the boondocks. Wherever we end up, all can be assured that the Lord is preparing his will to be done.
